Inspire the Next Generation of Commerce Teachers

Are you a passionate secondary Commerce teacher eager to make a meaningful impact on the future of your subject area? By supervising a pre-service teacher, you have the opportunity to mentor the next generation of Commerce educators while enriching your own professional practice.

Right now, there is a critical shortage of placement supervisors across Victoria, with many Commerce teaching placements going unfilled, especially in:

  • Accounting
  • Commerce (Years 7–10)
  • Business Management
  • Economics

This includes an urgent need at the University of Melbourne, where pre-service teachers are actively seeking placements for the last placement round commencing on 27 October - 24 November.

Please consider partnering with the University of Melbourne by taking on a mentoring role. If you're interested, please speak to your school’s Student Teacher Coordinator and encourage them to contact the Faculty of Education Secondary Placement Team ([email protected]) as soon as possible.

To learn more about the University of Melbourne's Professional Experience program and access support materials, visit their new placement website.
