Participants will:

• Discover the principles of VCE assessment
• Learn how to design and evaluate lower, middle, and higher-order assessment questions
• Explore the characteristics of effective assessment items, and the pitfalls to avoid in examinations
• Understand the dos and don’ts of creating your own examinations
• Gain practical experience in assessing examination questions

Workshops will be held with experienced VCAA examination assessors in each of:

• VCE Accounting – with Darrell Cruse, Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School
• VCE Business Management – with Scott Lucas, Trinity Grammar School
• VCE Economics – with Joshua Verlin, Brighton Grammar School
• VCE Legal Studies – with Toni Furolo, Lakeview Senior College
