Calling all NEW Teachers to VCE Accounting, Business Management, Economics, and Legal Studies

  • Empowering Commerce Educators: Building Your VCE Toolkit(formally known as From Surviving to Thriving in VCE), empowers teachers with ideas and resources in Unit 1 and/or Unit 3 to build confidence and excel in their own classroom.  Presented by skilled experts in each subject, attendees will receive lesson ideas and assessment options that are easy to implement straight away. Places are limited to 100 participants across all four subject areas.  Please note, that this event is repeated on Saturday 14 June for Units 2 & 4.

Would you like to know how students performed in the 2024 VCE exams to help shape your 2025 year?

  • Reviewing Student Performance in the 2024 VCE Exams, is a series of online webinars from VCAA examination panel members. Each presenter will offer their expert advice, highlighting strong and weak responses to questions, and offer hints and tips to help improve you teaching in 2025. Webinars can be viewed live and are made available to all registered participants through to the end of the year. 

    Register Now: Monday 3 March - Thursday 6 March (various subjects).  All registrations will receive access to the webinar after the event.

VCTA Mentor Program for New Teachers - starting in March

  • Are you new to VCE or new to a subject in VCE?  The Mentoring Program at VCTA is led by expert teachers and is available from mid-March online. Over four strategically placed sessions you will join with other new teachers as your questions are answered, advice is offered and problems are shared.  Build a network of like-minded people as you improve your classroom skills and knowledge.  To express interest in this program please fill in the Mentor Program Survey and a staff member at VCTA will be in touch with you to confirm your place in the program within two weeks.

VCE Industry & Enterprise

VCTA is looking to add more Compak writers for VCE Industry & Enterprise. Writing for Compak is an excellent avenue to build your skills in creating high quality resources and assessments under the guidance of VCTA specialists.  If you are interested in joining the team, please email Michelle Mitchell at VCTA with your preferred area of interest within the Industry & Enterprise course.


Economics

The latest RBA Public Education Update (newsletter) is now available for teachers and students. It includes a 2025 Back-to-School Kit and a new research paper on the decline of students studying economics across Australia.


Legal Studies

The Victorian Law Foundation has created a variety of Learning Resources including study notes, case studies and teaching kits which align with the VCE and Victorian 7 - 10 curriculum. These resources are free to all teachers and students.
