VCTA - New Scholarship Opportunity for Early Career Teachers in 2025

In honour of Jules Aldous, the VCTA Board and Staff are pleased to announce a new scholarship opportunity in 2025: The Jules Aldous Professional Learning Scholarship

The scholarship will be offered to an early-career teacher who is an individual member and covers the cost of registration at all VCTA professional learning activities in 2025 relevant to the teacher's subjects listed in the successful application.

Jules was a highly regarded and long term individual member of VCTA. She served on the VCTA Board for many years and was a passionate advocate for early career teachers as well as teachers with many years of experience. She achieved much enjoyment through her mentoring work with VCTA and her sessions at various events were always well attended.

More information about the scholarship as well as how to apply can be found on our website.

Update on the Statement to Members regarding VCE Examinations

Since our statement to members last week, the issue regarding the 2024 VCE examinations continues to evolve. The VCTA maintains that the VCAA must take appropriate actions to uphold fairness and integrity in the VCE assessment process.

As of 9am today, the VCTA has not received a response from the VCAA regarding the concerns outlined in our letter to the CEO sent last week.

We will continue to keep our members informed of any developments on this matter.

Kind regards,

The VCTA Team
